Luggie Treenware
Details
This distinctive treenware container is based on an original created from 14 staves bound by 8 hoops. One stave was extended to form the handle or "lug" hence the name. The original, in the study collection of Colonial Williamsburg, is thought to have been made in Scotland in the late 19th century following a traditional form.
