Add a creative and fun accent to your Halloween table this year by turning your napkins into bats using the easy-to-follow steps below. For best results use a square black cotton cloth napkin that is freshly ironed.

Step 1:
Lay the napkin the wrong side up, with the top corner facing upwards to make a diamond shape.
Step 2:
Bring the bottom corner to the top and fold the napkin in half.
Step 3:
Bring the right point over to the left point, folding the napkin in half once again.
Step 4:
Turn the napkin so the 90° is pointing down.
Step 5:
Fold the bottom 90° angle up and over the top edge of the napkin so about 2 inches is overlapping leaving a small triangle or point at the top. This will be the bat's head.
Step 6:
Hold your index finger at the center point on the bottom edge of the napkin and fold the right side up at a 45° angle to make one bat wing.
Step 7:
Repeat on the other side. Smooth the napkin with pressure as necessary to keep the folds in place.
Step 8:
Fold the top middle point down by about one inch.
Step 9:
Press the middle of the top edge down to create your bats ears and you’re done; you have a cute napkin bat.
